ELECTRICITY SERVICES

DigiMali supports prepaid electricity for:

  • Eskom
  • Municipal prepaid providers
  • Private prepaid electricity suppliers

How to buy prepaid electricity:

  1. Select Vend Prepaid Electricity
  2. Select Purchase Prepaid Token
  3. Enter meter number
  4. Enter amount (minimum R20)
  5. Choose payment method
  6. Confirm purchase

Your token will:

  • Display on screen
  • Be sent via SMS

Minimum purchase: R20

Maximum: No maximum on DigiMali (supplier limits may apply)

Yes. If you qualify for FBE, you can redeem it on DigiMali.

How to redeem:

  1. Select Prepaid Electricity
  2. Select Free Basic Electricity
  3. Enter meter number
Important: Not all suppliers offer Free Basic Electricity.

There are two ways to view your previous electricity purchases:

1. List Recent Tokens

Shows the last 3 electricity purchases for the meter, even if not bought on DigiMali.

Access via:

Vend Prepaid Electricity → List Recent Tokens

2. Previous Transactions

Shows all DigiMali purchases, including:

  • Electricity
  • Airtime/Data

Access via:

Your Name → Previous Transactions

The Previous Transactions page contains two columns:

  • Electricity (default view)
  • Airtime/Data

You can log Eskom electricity faults via DigiMali.

How to access:

  1. Select Prepaid Electricity
  2. Select Report Fault
  3. Select issue
  4. Submit
This feature is only for Eskom. Municipal/private suppliers must be contacted directly.

You can view meter details such as:

  • Supply Group Code (SGC)
  • Key Revision Number (KRN)
  • Token Technology
  • Tariff Type

How to access:

Prepaid Electricity → Confirm Meter Details

If you didn't receive your token:

  • Check for Pending Transaction
  • Retry Complete Transaction
  • Check SMS/email
  • Check Previous Transactions

If the token doesn't work:

  • Retry entering the token
  • Recheck meter number
  • Contact DigiMali support
No refunds for purchases made to an incorrect meter number.

AIRTIME & DATA SERVICES

DigiMali supports airtime & data for:

  • Vodacom
  • MTN
  • Cell C
  • Telkom

How to buy Airtime or Data:

  1. Select Airtime/Data
  2. Select Network
  3. Choose Airtime or Data
  4. Enter cellphone number
  5. If Airtime → Enter amount (minimum R20)
  6. If Data → Select validity + product
  7. Choose payment method
  8. Confirm purchase

The recharge is processed instantly.

Important: No refunds for the wrong incorrect cellphone number.

Sometimes network congestion can delay delivery.

If this happens:

  • Purchase may show Pending
  • Retry Complete Transaction
  • Most purchases clear within minutes

If still not received:

  • Check Previous Transactions

If the bundle was delayed or misapplied by the mobile network, you may need to contact your network provider.

If you didn't receive your airtime or data:

  • Check for Pending Transaction
  • Retry Complete Transaction
  • Check SMS/email
  • Check Previous Transactions

If the recharge is delayed:

  • Sometimes delays are caused by network congestion
  • Most transactions complete within a few minutes

If you bought for the wrong cellphone number:

No refunds will be made for incorrect cellphone numbers.

If payment succeeded but the bundle was not received:

  • Contact DigiMali for assistance
  • If the recharge was already delivered to the mobile network, you may need to contact your network provider directly

How to register:

  2. Enter your details
  3. Verify via OTP

Do I need to log in every time?

Yes, for security and access.

Can I buy for someone else?

Yes, for both meters (Electricity) and cellphone numbers (Airtime or Data).

Can I reverse a purchase?

No. Once a token or voucher is issued, it cannot be reversed.

Is DigiMali secure?

Yes. DigiMali uses encrypted systems and secure payment gateways.
